Hungarian Telephone Announces Resignation
Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. announced that its Vice-Chairman Jesper Ovesen has resigned from HTCC’s Board of Directors. Mr. Ovesen is a Senior Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of TDC A/S. TDC is HTCC’s majority stockholder. Due to a recent change at the executive level of TDC, Mr. Ovesen will be taking on additional responsibilities at TDC that would prevent him from putting in the necessary time and effort that is required to serve on the HTCC Board. The HTCC Board of Directors will work expeditiously to fill the vacancy created by the resignation.
